Understanding Overdrafts
An overdraft will occur if an account holder withdraws more from his/her account then they have previously deposited. The bank may or may not honor an overdraft, depending upon its policies. A fee is usually incurred on an overdraft.*
Our Overdraft Protection Services
To protect you from the headache an overdraft(s) may cause, we have various Overdraft Protection Programs available to you as outlined below:
Overdraft Honor Service
We offer a discretionary overdraft service to help a customer avoid inadvertent overdrafts. Once an account is qualified, you will receive written notification. You will then have the choice to opt into overdraft protection. This service will pay overdrafts plus current overdraft fee up to $500.
LINK-IT Overdraft Protection Service
To use this service you will need to open an additional savings account that will be linked to your designated checking account(s) to cover inadvertent overdrafts. Current charge for LINK-IT usage is $22 per day.
Opting-Out of Overdraft Protection
You may opt-out of Overdraft Protection on your checking account anytime by calling 1-800-692-6279 and select option 1, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
You may also opt-out by writing to us at:
